Lincoln Anointing?

Last week or so I felt that I heard in my spirit, “You have a Lincoln anointing.” Never heard of it but I have always liked Abraham Lincoln and have done papers in school about him. FYI I believe we have an anointing from the Holy One and when people talk about the anointing of so and so I think it more of picking up the reins or carrying on the mission of the person who either dropped it or has passed into full Glory. Anywhoo I did Google it and found one article about it on Elijahlist.com by Bill Yount. I have asked others and they have had the same word over them. I have ideas about what it is but not yet fully (Prov. 25:2). Has anyone else heard about this?

  1. I just cried now while reading the article!

    I just cried because i had just finished crying to God literally a few minutes ago!
    All that Bill Yount described, I am!
    Also His sense about what the Lord is saying is what the Lord told me..in encouragement. I was just too tired! It is what i have been talking to My FATHER in Heaven about in the last hour. He just sent me this! Yout post is an answered prayer…well timed. Wow, God. I will stand.

      1. I am sure glad you did. When i first started reading your post, I wasn’t sure of what you meant because i have never heard of that but i just kept going and even clicked the link…i don’t always click links.lol. i am glad i did. Thank you for that.

  3. This is a beautiful thought. Thank you for posting this. I am sure that there are many of us who are ready to quit, because our strength is spent, our prayers seem unanswered and the path is too dark. I am so thankful for those who have gone before to show us how this is all part of our journey to become who He knows we can be. It is beyond difficult at times, but we are blessed in knowing a Savior who carries us and gives us peace when we cry to Him.

    1. Amen to that Wendy. “Carried in His Arms” is just it. I laugh now when i remember telling Him some minutes ago that i feel so “not in control” because it feels like someone (He) is running while carrying me. Like He, alone, knows where He is taking me..just like Bill Yount said. Infact my words were echoed all over that article. It waa funny and scary. Being carried by Him is definitely where we need to be.

  4. theres no such thang from God as a lincoln annointing…Scripture testifies of Christ alone…th gift of God and th fruit of th Spirit is Christ alone…

    God doesnt send His ppl to complete human works nor is lincoln a savior…

    what u heard is false doctrine…america for one always presents lincoln as a savior but Christ alone is savior and all others are imposters…

    when th Lord first brought me to th net…He exposed th false doctrine of th elijah list…

    th anointing that is received from th Father who is th one True God is Christ alone…

    lincoln is dead…Christ alone is alive…

    1. Sorry if you were offended “g.” I did explain the difference between carrying someone’s anointing is not their anointing but God’s. Also no one said Lincoln is savior. Thank you for establishing that Christ alone is Savoir and God and I say Amen to that! Also from the the image and scripture portrayed speak of us receiving an anointing from the Holy One alone.     2. “G”, you heard God correctly. All this hoopala over NT prophets is blown way out of proportion.. We who are Christ’s are in the New Covenant, not the old

      Elijah List is the worst collection of false prophet and false apostles on the net. The opening screen is all about the love of Mammon and so is most of the site!

        11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ

        This speak clearly of the need for equipping the body. You can’t say we only need three of the five. But a prophet is not false if there word is wrong or doesn’t manifest according to our speculation. False prophets lead people away from Christ into false spirits and the real prophets today do not do that. If there are false then there are real. Counterfeits are dependent upon the real in order to be present. I thank you for your concern and passion for Truth to be preached and proclaimed to the body. 🙂

  5. Just to be clear: I dont know Lincoln or much about Him except the obvious that i have heard. I am not American and i dont live there. I still don’t know about “Lincoln Annointing” because i cringe when someone talks about passing their anointing. I believe anointing comes from God alone.However i took something from the article which is that God doesn’t want us to give up. Atleast i know that i was at the place that article was describing just minutes before i saw the post. The Lord has anointed me and i don’t carry anyone’s anointing but that’s for me. If anyone else has a different experience, i am in no position to say anything about it because i don’t know about it. I only comment regarding the moral of the story which is that God is taking us where we have nothing but Him to lean on and that’s when Strength will rise and Glory will be His. It is well. Good will definitely prevail

I had not heard of the Lincoln-Boone anointing prior to your post, but reading the article you reference, I came to the conclusion that it might be something worthwhile to continue to observe in the Body. I’m reluctant to endorse the name, but do see within the Body a renewed effort to not only make disciples, but to actually train them to be diciplers themselves. The call to persevere and pioneer is certainly scriptural and time will tell if Mr. Yount’s prophecy comes to fruition.
