Prophetic Word

127

I am not a Prophet and do not claim to operate or stand in that office but I do believe God speaks to His friends.

So I feel prompted by the Lord to speak this Prophetic Word. I speak it in faith. Judge it according to the Spirit.

God is going to open the eyes of the Physicists as He opened the eyes of the Magi. Both Quantum Mechanics and Relativity. Dimensions are being opened and Paradigm Shifts are coming. New wineskins. New unshrunk clothes. I see God wiping the chalkboard clean and giving new formulas and protocols. I see theories being molded by the Spirit into realities. I see these as Secrets being given to His friends in those fields. God is saying He will be know by His creation and He will be given honor and He will be worshiped.

Again I am not a prophet and I do not claim to be. If this be from Him amen and if not, let it fall to the ground.

If you are reading this and have seen my blog before you will have notice I changed the theme. I was wondering if the previous one was hard to read due to small font size and slight color clashing and it was confirmed so I have chosen the current theme.

Blessings beloved of our Father!

Our Conversation Is In Heaven

BA05E2B1-8DCF-4EC3-A90F-306230DB9951

Philippians 3:20a is KJV says

For our conversation is in heaven…

I know that the KJV got this one wrong for properly translated it is citizenship. One version translates it as business but the actual Greek word is politeuma which means the constitution of a commonwealth, form of government and the laws by which it is administered….just a little tidbit.

So even though it is translated wrong in KJV, the first time I saw this it kinda stuck with me. Our conversation is in heaven. I would venture to say that, like me, sometimes I forget that God and Heaven hears me even if I don’t begin with, “Dear Father” and end with “Amen.” Pray without ceasing is an apt description of this. I believe, since we are seated together with Christ, that our speech is in constant contact with the spirit and heavenly realms and demonic realms. Since we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses (see Heb. 12:1) our ever word has a reaction to the things around us. Prayer is not performed by a formula but a protocol or vehicle which carries information. Please do not take this as condemnation or even conviction but an opportunity. An opportunity to realize what we function is as the Church. As re-presenters. The beauty of God with us is that we are invited into the current conversation in Heaven. The discussions of the Godhead. Because we are seated together, our conversations down here have an affect and effect up there where we are seated. That is why it is very easy to be in the spirit in one moment and the earthly in the next because only a thin veil separates the two. Like God, our words do become flesh and dwell among us sometimes negative and sometime positive. The Scriptures call it the fruit of our lips (see Heb. 13:15, Prov. 13:2). Fruit is meant to be consumed and bring a nourishment. If you’ve ever experienced a conversation with our Father you know what I mean. It’s nourishing, building, sustaining. When our conversation revolves around His conversations their is synergy which bring the power of His glory and releases fruit. We truly become yoked to God. Everything of ours is His and everything of His is ours. For God to release Kingdom here, we must know Kingdom there. I use “here” and “there” for the sake of observation. There is a thin line between the difference. In reality, our conversation and His conversation must perichoresis in order for fullness to manifest.

For God to move in our midst, there must be covenant. Covenant is the protocol in which agreement releases Kingdom. It’s the difference between praying to God and with God (see Rom. 8:34). Conversing with a God who is here as opposed to there. How thin was the place in which Jesus literally saw what the Father was doing and did it? Second by second interdependence. Where God cause me to will and then I do will. Where God cause me to want and then I want. Where my daily second by second conversation is in heaven and His conversation is in me. The Holy Spirit is in us and with us (see John 14:16-17). May our conversation in Heaven perichoresis with the Father to manifest Kingdom promises in the here and now.

An Audience of One

audience-of-one

How many of us do live for an Audience of One? I believe Graham Cooke said it best and I am paraphrasing

We live for an Audience of One where the praises at our right hand and criticism at our left meaning nothing.

Where I find myself not living for an Audience of One is on social media like Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, etc. I see others on Facebook posting similar things like myself and I don’t get any responses. I have family I rarely see and I see them commenting and liking what my other family members post but I get nothing. No love. No recognition. And because of this I sit in a speculatory mindset rehearsing ghost thoughts that appear, disappear, and then reappear. I make my Facebook and WordPress posts report cards on my life and where I look for worth and value. Genesis calls it looking to the ground and the work of my hands for worth. I mean people strive daily for the sake of others and to try to impress someone who has no bearing on their life. We judge our existence based upon someone else’s Photoshopped life. We live to an audience of thousands.

As I got on the computer this morning to finish this blog I got this quote of confirmation in my email

The fear of man strangles us, because we can never please everybody; but the fear of the Lord frees us, because it challenges us to live and serve for an audience of One.  –  Paul Chappell

John Eldredge has a great perspective on this and he says this(paraphrased by me)

If you give someone the power to validate you, you also give them the power to invalidate you. Other people are not the report card on your life.

Jesus only lived and lives to an Audience of One. John 5:19 says

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

Jesus received and receives validation, confirmation, and identity from One Person and that is our Father. We, likewise, should do and be the same. It doesn’t matter how many Follow you on Twitter, Instagram, or WordPress. It doesn’t matter how many comments, likes, and shares you get on Facebook or how few likes, comments, and shares. Praises and criticism counts for nothing. Philippians 3:8,9a declares

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him…

We may be surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses but we live in the favor of One Witness. Forget your posts, blogs, likes, shares, comments, praises, criticisms, and labels of others. Consider them dung or worthless apart from receiving the affection and affirmation of your Father in Heaven. His report card on you is the finished word of Christ! When He sees you He sees Jesus, when He sees Jesus He sees you. Simple. We live for an Audience of One. Not just an Audience but a co-worker, co-laborer, co-everything. He is with us, in this together. Lets begin to live like it.

Before I was following my Father, I hated reading. It was the ultimate kill joy of summer when I had a “summer reading list” as a child. I may have only read one or two books and did only one book report out of all of high school. Then, when I starting following my Father at the age of 20, I loved reading. I can’t get enough of it. I don’t have an exuberant amount of books…but I wish I did! It is probably because I am an introvert by nature and a Teacher Redemptive gift. I just felt like sharing the books I love and, if you haven’t read them, maybe you would get out of them as much as I did. The Power Of Honor

honor

Honor is a powerful thing but is terribly lacking in society, including the Church.

Honor – to hold in respect; esteem

Honor in Hebrew (kabowd) – dignity, reverence, glory

Honor in Greek (timaō and timē) – to estimate, fix the value, for the value of something belonging to one’s self,a valuing by which the price is fixed

Honor is bestowed by the value we see in something, or should I say someone. When I think of honor I think of how I see someone. My honoring someone or lack thereof shows where my value system lies and how my value system works. That is why one person can value and give honor to something or someone else and the next person has no honor or value for it. Pricelessness is in the eyes of the beholder.

In my childhood I used to bully and I was bullied. I was dishonored and I dishonored. I bestowed greater and lesser value based on my current viewpoint at the time. You see, honor is truly bestowed and not owed. Yes there are times where you give honor to whom honor is due (see Romans 13:7) but I’ll will talk more about that in another blog. Here I will speak about bestowing honor by placing value on another individual.

1 Corinthians 12:21-26 says

So the eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” But even more, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary. And those parts of the body that we think to be less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unpresentable parts have a better presentation. But our presentable parts have no need of clothing. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable, so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Here we see how God bestows greater honor on those parts which appear to be less honorable. God bestows honor and that which is not honored by others. To be bestowed with honor is to be set up and exposed by a conspiracy of grace. This is another reason why I love the prophetic. God picks you out in front of the rest of His Children and speaks to you honor, worth, value, precedence, and glory. It is a great feelings to be highlighted by my Father! To be called a vessel of honor in which you carry that which you didn’t carry before and can now pour honor onto others! It is awesome is the truest definition of the word. Philippians 2:3 speaks volumes

And you should not do anything with contention or empty glory, but in humility of mind, let every person esteem his neighbor as better than himself.

My best friend is writing a book entitled “Treasure in Certain Vessels” and I believe it is a message that should be heeded these days. Look out for it in the future.

It is very hard for people, me included, to really want to offer anything because oftentimes I don’t feel worth anything or that I don’t have anything of worth to offer. At my previous fellowship I was an usher for about 7 or so years but never really felt honored or worth anything but a body to volunteer while the big named people had the seats of honor and this was even more prevalent during conferences where there were big name speakers. Only those in “authority” were honored. Thankfully I’ve received almost complete healing but even today I have moments where I feel a twinge of rejection but that is a paradigm I will need to shift. Also growing up I, like most, children didn’t really have a voice. Didn’t have an opinion. Seen not heard kind of thing. I lost my voice/honor and only recently getting my voice back.

I would venture to say that most sheep feel, well, like sheep. A number that someone counts to try to fall asleep and in the end the sheep fall asleep themselves. But Jesus! John 10:2-3,14 declares

But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

I am the Good Shepherd; and I know and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me

For those who feel locked into secret places, God will begin to reward you openly! You have served, sown, volunteered, interceded, kept things close to your heart, been what seems as background noise, and not honored but God sees and is looking through His books and your deeds and your heart is ever before Him. Do not become weary for you will reap, just don’t give him. Honor despite not being honored. Bestow value even when value by others haven’t been bestowed on you. You will reap because God knows you by name! If you have been disregarded all your life and it seems like no one every sees you or honors then I remove all demonic and ungodly labels of religion, witchcraft, and worldly dishonor off of you in Jesus’ name! No more cloak of invisibility and I rebuke it and command it to be removed! No more dishonor of men! No more dishonor of women! No more dishonor of children and the unborn! There is neither male nor female but are one in Christ Jesus!

Receive honor by showing honor. Bestow value despite of the lack of value bestowed on you.

Here are a few clips that have really touched me and brought hope for current and future honor. Stories of honor and value. Some stories are fiction others are very real. Please watch them and I hope they touch you like they’ve touched me

Sooo the last clip shares just a little bit of the story between Paul Young’s mother and the Priest whose life she saved. I can’t seem to find the rest of the story. It used to be on YouTube but I just can’t find it. So I’ll share what I can remember. Paul Young’s mother goes to the Church that the priest pastors and visits. During the service it was communion time and, being as Paul Young’s mom wasn’t a member she couldn’t take communion, which she understood and was fine with. Near the end of the communion time the priest slowly walks down the aisles to the back row where she was sitting, kneels down and give the bread and wine to Paul Young’s mom in a beautiful act of honoring the woman who saved his life.

A Light On My Path

e4y9000

Psalm 119:105 says

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

I can walk in my apartment with all the lights off and use little indicators of light(microwave, stove, clock) to navigate to where I need to go. Anyone else like that? I can walk amongst the darkness even by the smallest light and from it I know, without seeing, where the couch, walls, table, and chairs are. Even by one small light I can “see” and “know” where everything else is. Take that away and I would fumble around and probably stub at least two toes…ouch.

Sometimes when we walk in darkness we seem lost, scared, or even indifferent to our surroundings. We turn towards darkness and stand frozen, unable to move. There is always a light we can use and turn to in order to see our path. Even at night there is the glory of the moon in order to see. Knowing the Scriptures provides the light to my path…not just reading them. Knowing what He has prophetically spoken over me gives a God jolt to my heart. There comes a point where faith turns to knowledge by experience. His Light, His revealing Himself comes out of experience. He can only be a light to your path unless you are on your path and He is your Light.

Problems are a prerequisite for a revelation from God. You probably won’t understand and know God as provider unless you need provision. You won’t know Him as Healer unless you need healing. C.S. Lewis said

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

Revelation can be described as illumination or light shining on something. Ephesians 1:18 is a beautiful picture

I pray that he will give light to the eyes of your hearts, so that you will understand the hope to which he has called you, what rich glories there are in the inheritance he has promised his people…

Most of our lives are lived on the path of our mind but our spiritual journey is clearly on the path of our heart. Our heart is the path that God shines His Light on in order for desire to be fulfilled. God loves desire because when fulfilled it becomes a tree of life. Without an enlightened heart that is in connection with God we become as C.S. Lewis says

…men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.

We guard our hearts by allowing our Father to shine His light on it to reveal that which has been hidden for so long. Conviction is for the world but counsel is for sons and daughters. The heart is what pumps the life-giving source to our body and it is what pumps the Glory of God. It stores memory. It is the path that we walk with God on. Is is the place where we most need God’s light to shine on. If you have found yourself lost in your heart please pray with me

Father,

I come to You in Jesus’ name. Come and heal. Cause me both to will and to do in order to have all darkness removed from my heart. Forgive me for not only not living with and in my heart for rejecting it and deceitful when You said You gave me a new one. Cleanse my heart from all defilement either I or others have put on it. Shine Your Light and illuminate and flood my heart with Your Light. Let my heart be a place without shadows and without a secret that is held from You. I give you permission to enter every chamber, valve, ventricle, vein, atrium, septum, and aorta. Every room of my heart is open to your Lordship and Love. Father if my heart is broken, fragmented, or ties to things they shouldn’t then please mend, restore, gather together so that it may be whole and wholly Yours. Let Your Word, which You speak over me, be a light to my path and lamp to my feet.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen and Amen

What is “New Age?”

First off I am not an expert in this so this is not exhaustive but what I purely observe. Is there is anything more prevalent these days than the “New Age?” It is also one of the most generalized terms these days as well. I’ve even been accused of being “New Age” and I am totally opposed to it. Really there is nothing “new” about it but has been around since the fall in the Garden in Eden. Genesis 3:5 starts it off

For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

We see it in the tower of Babel people were in one accord to build a tower to reach heaven. We see in ancient Egypt and all other pagan nations in the Old Testament time. New age boils down to this: man striving to obtain immorality apart from their Creator. Of course their version of creator varies much differently from our God who is the Creator. Here is food for thought or should I say thought for food: God has no opposites. There is no opposite of God. He is I Am and not the I Am Not. Darkness is measured by absence of light. Cold is measured by absence of heat.

I’ve said it before, a counterfeit can only be in existence of a real or legitimate. The enemy cannot and does not create. There is no creative ability in the father of lies at all. All things were created through Jesus Christ the Word become flesh. The Scripture tell us to focus on what is unseen yet if someone really does then they are labeled “new age” or in error. A lot of new age practices are based on quantum science and mechanics which is Science. Again this is worshiping or seeking the creation for purpose and divinity apart from the Creator. But I must say they, unlike western Christianity, have a better grasp of things spiritual, though twisted by fallen man. Also esoteric knowledge is propagated but is, again, birthed through God and stolen from the enemy at the fall and gave to men by “illegal” trading or “I’ll give you this, if you give me that.” Many believe that is what happened in Genesis 6 with the Nephilim and fallen watchers coming in to women of earth. I am sure many will think I am more fringe by mentioned Nephilim too but that is OK.

I believe in Jesus Christ, the Word become Flesh, begotten by our Father. He lived a perfect life as the Son of God and Son of man. He died for the whole worlds sins and shed His precious one-of-a-kind blood for you and I. He was raised on the third day by God and preached to the spirits in prison and was the Perfect Sacrifice. He spoke to His followers for 40 days and then ascended, in a cloud, to the Father. Jesus is God and I worship Him as God and I do confess Him as Lord and Savior and Jesus Christ did come in the flesh!!!! I am a believer/Christian/follower of Jesus Christ.

I thought I’d just put that in there in case someone wasn’t sure what I believed.

I cannot judge people’s hearts or intentions when they accuse me of being new age. They have their conviction and gladly it is at least for Christ and not against Him. But I would imagine many western Christians, if, with their current mindset, live in Biblical times (NT and OT), they would label all prophets and probably Apostles as new agers. Peter had trances, Saul saw Jesus as a blinding light, Paul was caught up into the third heaven and couldn’t even speak of what he saw, the disciples saw Jesus transfigured and, don’t forget, they saw Moses and Elijah there too (if that happened today people would say they were doing a seance or consulting a medium. Of course they didn’t conjure it up either). Maybe the disciples were in error by seeing people who weren’t alive on earth anymore? Look at the Apostle John who received Revelation and saw beings, angels, beasts, pits, horns, trumpets, bowls, the glory of God, heaven, bottomless pit, dragons, etc. How about Isaiah or Ezekiel and their experiences in the supernatural realms? Or how about Abraham and talking with angels and giving them food to eat or talking with Melchizedek who had neither father or nor mother and no genealogy. Isaiah walked around naked for heaven’s sake lol. Seeking spiritual experiences, or anything for that matter, apart from God and the finished work of the Cross is wrong. New agers rob what is rightfully for the sons of God. Take a look at John 10:1

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.

Christ is the gate to go through for all things spiritual and when that is not the case then a spirit of error occurs.

The reasons I was accused of being new age is using the term “Paradigm” and talking about Sozo Ministry. Paradigm is nothing but a term scientist use and Sozo ministry is about inner healing and seeing and experiencing Christ and His Presence in your wounded past or simply walking with God is experiencing Him not as words printed on paper but Him written on your heart. He was there wasn’t He? Yes He was and seeing Him there and asking Him to come heal is a good thing right? Didn’t He come to heal the brokenhearted? I shouldn’t go defending myself or Him because He is my defense and the Truth speaks for Himself.

This link about new age is here for you to read if you want. It’s Wikipedia so you have to chew the meat and spit out the bones. Here is explains that the term “new age” refers to the “age of the aquarius.” The “new age” consists of several different branches which include, but not limited to Freemasons(Illuminati), Yoga/Yogi, Wicca, Transcendental Meditation, Buddhism, Hinduism, Church of satan(satanism), Gnosticism, Mormonism(LDS), Jehovah Witnesses, witchcraft, Tarot Cards, Horoscopes, etc etc.

Here is a few things the New Age has stolen or perverted along with Scriptures references of the Biblical origins.

Meditation – Psalm 49:3

Power of words – Proverbs 18:21

Man is divine(new age) man partakes of the Divine Nature(Biblical) – 2 Peter 1:4

Astral Projection or spirit travel(new age) Translating(Biblical) – Acts 8:39, Genesis 5:24, 2 Kings 2:11, Colossians 2:5(if you take literal which I do take as literal being as he said he saw how they were but this is my opinion)

Trances – Acts 10:10

Visions – 2 Corinthians 12:4, Acts 9:12

Clairvoyance(new age) Prophecy(Biblical) – 1 Corinthians 12:10, Acts 21:11

Automatic writing(new age) Moved by the Holy Spirit(Biblical) – 2 Peter 1:21

Quieting the mind in Yoga(new age) Being still in rest and focusing on the Lord(Biblical – stretching is not evil) – Psalm 46:10, Isaiah 26:3

Man is God(new age) Man is like God(Biblical) – Genesis 1:27, Psalm 82:6, John 10:34, 1 Corinthians 6:17

Enlightenment(new age) Being enlightened(Biblical) – Ephesians 1:18

Here I have listed several instance where the new age has perverted and stole and came in another way and not by the Gate of Jesus Christ. Far too long the Western Church has been behind and powerless and the enemy is coming in and offering what the Church should have been offering all along. The new age using science for a lot of things and science is only the discovery of God and how He does things.

1 Corinthians 4:20 says

The Kingdom of God is not just talking; it is living by God’s power

The new age seeks the dead among the living but Christian seeks the God of living! Isaiah 8:19 declares

And when the people [instead of putting their trust in God] shall say to you, Consult for direction mediums and wizards who chirp and mutter, should not a people seek and consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

Paradigm Paralysis

46-thinking-outside-the-box

In order to get out of our paradigm paralysis we need to think outside the box but not outside of the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I wrote about paradigm shifting on my previous post so I’ll touch a little on paradigm paralysis.

Perhaps the greatest barrier to a paradigm shift, in some cases, is the reality of paradigm paralysis: the inability or refusal to see beyond the current models of thinking (taken from Wikipedia).

Or I could use the common definition of insanity which Einstein says is

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

Or according to New Webster’s

A deranged state of the mind

Being as most people quote Einstein’s I will follow suit, be paralyzed, and keep to that paradigm…I say this in jest.

So to be paralyzed in my paradigms is to continue to live based on my current stronghold that has been built since before I was born. Now imagine living before Christ was born in the midst of the Pharisees and Sadducees and Roman occupation. Things have been taught and ingrained into people’s minds for many, many years. Then John the Baptist comes and starts dismantling mindsets to get some out of their paradigm paralysis. And then comes Jesus who is living Truth, the One who has been with the Father, come to shift paradigms and carry on getting others of our paralysis.

You could pull many Scriptures out where Jesus says, “You have heard that it was said…but I say to you.” “This is how you were taught and told what to believe…but I say to you.”

Lets look at the paradigm paralysis of the Apostle Peter Acts 10.

And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.

And also in Acts 10 it says

And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

The Apostles were also stuck in their own paradigm paralysis. They thought, believed, and lived their life based upon what they thought to be true. Or consider pre-Christians and how they lived their lives paralyzed by a wrong paradigm. Or how we currently, even following the Lord, are paralyzed by our wrong paradigms and held captive by demonic strongholds. We have not pulled down these strongholds and have not taken thought captive but we let them build up and create boxed paradigms and are unable to break free. We need that paradigm shift to get us out of paralysis and into the liberty of having our paradigm/strongholds outside of the box and formed by the Holy Spirit and Heaven’s Truth…on earth as it is in heaven. We have the mind of Christ. We think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Those things that are praiseworthy and honorable we think on those things. We need to set our mind on things above, where we are seated in the Spirit. And we can only do these things by following Christ and believing in His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension and having His precious blood cleansing us from all paralysis.

Prayer:

Father, in Jesus’ name

I come before Your throne bodly, seeking mercy and grace. Break me free from any and all paralysis in my paradigms so that I may shift into Truth. Help me to set my mind on things above and to walked in the mind and paradigm of Christ. Help me to break down all strongholds that You did not erect and help me to build up Godly, Spirit-led paradigms with the foundation of Your Truth and blood and sacrifice for me. Give me more and more “Aha!” moments and revelation into Your heart and thoughts and paradigm of me. Wash me with Your blood. Fill me to overflowing with Your Breath. Breath in, on, and through me. Transfigure me into Your image and according to Your likeness. Free me from all religion and religious spirits and religious paradigms. Set me free so I may run into the Arms of Liberty.

In the name above all other names, Jesus of Nazareth.

Amen and Amen!

C.S. Lewis said

My idea of God is not a divine idea. It has to be shattered time after time. He shatters it Himself.

Paradigm Shift

paradigm-shift-cartoon

This is a continuation of the my previous post: Paradigms. I could have made this into one blog but I try to keep them short…though I am thinking of writing a book at some point where I can go into further details about certain things.

Lets take a gander at Romans 8:28 which says

We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. (AMP) (emphasis mine)

Many, me definitely included, tend to focus and perceive one thing going on in life. My paradigm can be paralyzed by my current perception due to the emotion I am feeling. Feeling, of course, are neutral, neither good nor bad but they point to something deeper. Emotions generally point out the roots.

I spoke to my dad a few nights ago and he gave me an eggcellent demonstration of paradigm and it goes perfectly with the above picture…get it now…eggcellent. He took an egg and turned it on its side and said you see a circle and that’s what you believe about it. The next person sees an oval and that’s what they believe about it. I though about that and I took it a step further and God sees the inside of the egg. God sees the inside or the good that comes from all things working together. Also in my previous blog I said how the Paradigms are locked into the soul and only by the spirit/Spirit can you step away and see it as it is. Last night I was talking to my wife about it and this scripture jumped into my mine which was 1 Corinthians 2:11 which says

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man who is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

So here we see that the spirit of a man is the part of us that can see the whole of us. This is why we must nurture and care for our spirit. I am currently reading Blessing Your Spirit by Arthur Burk and Sylvia Gunter. We nourish our bodies and souls but how many nourish their spirit? There is a difference between soul and spirit and that is clear in Scripture (see 1 Thess. 5:23, Heb. 4:12). We need to do as 2 Cor. 7:1 says

Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God.

Our spirits can be crushed, defiled, wounded, captive, slumbering, etc. So without being nourished and healed we cannot properly see all things working together. So when I can only see the one thing happening without a proper heavenly/spirit perspective we get locked into our current emotional response because we are still in the soulish realm. I must indicate here that the soul/soulish realm is not demonic nor evil but a vehicle in which the spirit relates to the earthly realm along with the body being the agent by which we have authority on earth. Scripture even indicates that our souls should prosper (see 3 John 1:2).

The only way for our paradigms to shift is if our spirit is well enough to see all things working together. I believe our spirits are currently seated together in heavenly realms with Christ Jesus (see Eph. 2:6). We truly can see all things working together because it is possible due to the heavenly realm being outside of time where time is not relative and the eternal realm and unseen things are visible and can be relayed to our soul and walked out through our body.

So next time we see a thing happening, let us drop into our spirit to see all things working together for our good. As we are in the Spirit so let us walk after the Spirit aligning ourselves with all things working together instead of our current thing seemingly holding us back and keeping our paradigm paralyzed.

Never Mind The Enemy…Do You Know Who You Are?

Anyone reading this will know what I am talking about. In this digital age, information is a keyword and click away. Knowledge is readily accessible. Not understanding, but knowledge nonetheless. There are more views about the enemy/antichrist/end times stuff then Heinz has pickles. We all the know the who/what/when/where/how about the enemy…yet how many know that about themselves? Seeking darkness will not result in light and vice-versa.

How do know what is and isn’t counterfeit? By knowing the real, the legitimate, and the Original. When you know who you are it doesn’t matter, generally speaking, who someone else is. What I have seen, observed through internet, is that those who are heresy hunters, exposers of darkness, and devil slayers are those that they know far more of the enemy than themselves. Again this is observation and I do not know them personally so what I observe is surface level. I admit that I am judging the book by its cover.

I would think that one must first know God/light/Truth first and then who they are in Him and who He is in them. We must remember that the book of Revelation is first and foremost the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, depending on who you talk to about the Title of the book. Some translation just say “Revelation” and others “The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.” It is not primarily a book about the devil or the serpent or the dragon, though it consists of all those things.

There is nothing wrong with exposing darkness, false teaching, new age, or demonic doctrines. But if we get so wrapped up in who the beast and anti-Christ and “the One World this” and “the Illuminati that” is then we lose sight of who we are as overcomers, as re-presenters, as ambassadors, as light-bearers, and as Kingdom builders. It can breed fear because we lose sight of the opposite force of that fear. We almost feed off of the stuff. We can spot a fake a mile away yet can’t spot a real that is right under our nose. It is almost like a pride thing. A person says something and their immediate reaction is to expose darkness. We are so focused on who others are that then we can’t even see the person anymore. We have a type of blinders on our eyes where what we focus on becomes our reality and the glasses by which we view things. People are making millions off of fear and darkness these days whether it is about blood moons or harbingers or the isms or the shmita. There is a time and place for these all but when we lose sight of light darkness will overtake. I know some personally who gets very puffed up on the knowledge of the enemy they have. Like they are the farthest away from deception than those around. And I’m like, “Do you know who you are in the Scriptures?” It’s so easy to get in this rut…like the one I’m building by even talking about it. I feel the need to expose this darkness. So I get caught up in it too.

How do we grow? By beholding Him who is seated on the Throne! How do we know who we are? By beholding Him who is seated on the Throne! How do we face darkness? We don’t! We face the light! Exposure will happen when the Light is shining. Darkness leaves by default. Could it be that darkness increases because we keep giving it a place in our lives? This doesn’t mean you run from darkness either. We bring light! Light is even a piece of armor that we must wear.

I believe these days that we need to focus on the Lord and we need to know who we are. If I don’t know who I am, I won’t have a clue on what to do. If I focus on darkness and what I can expose I become speculative and confused and look for logs or specks. My bucket of rocks will keep getting heavier and heavier until I am unable to carry the burden of exposing because, by it, I have defined who I am by who I am not. I have defined light based upon darkness. I have define the real and legitimate by the false and illegitimate. The Original should be the only view, focus, plumb line that we should weigh all other things and not the other way around. Never mind the enemy…do you know who you are?

Judgment Upon Your Enemies

befunky_let-god-arise-poster1

Have you ever wondering why bad things happen in your life? I do. Why are these things in my life crumbling and shaking? Why are things falling apart? A thought recently popped in my head about this. I’m not saying this is true or whatever but I ponder things like this. Again this may be true and this may not be true but only my thoughts. Eat the meat and spit out the bones.

Sometimes if the enemy is wrapped up too much in our life and the wrath of God against the enemy comes sometimes we get burnt. Some OT references would be Lot and several of the prophets. They were righteous people walking in their destiny yet suffered in the midst. When God judge Israel, as a whole, both righteous and unrighteous succumbed to His dealings whether they deserved it or not. Again I want to be careful here and not generalize anything but sometimes are life needs to be shaken so that which remains is only Kingdom. If we are a little too close to our enemy we can very well experience the chastisement of the Lord. It’s not a good feeling but oh how the enemy scatters and leaves us in His lap. I just had the thought of when I was spanked as a child. My dad would put me over his lap and spank me…then console me. Both happened on his lap…how much more our Heavenly Father. Hebrews 12:5-8 says

…and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,

My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
Nor faint when you are reproved by Him;
For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
And He scourges every son whom He receives.”

It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

It’s the grace of God that makes our spirits and lives fireproof though parts of us may crumble and burn. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 says

each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Sometimes the mercy of God is getting a little of what you deserve. Consequences for actions are a good motivator if not done in fear. The wrath of God is against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. Notice He is against the “ness” and not the person. If God is for you then He is against everything that is against you. Until we give it all up and let God arise in ourselves the enemy will not be scattered. The Holy Spirit is a Gentleman…except when He isn’t. He will patiently sit there waiting in love until you are ready and He will determine when you are ready to deal with the baggage. The longer you don’t deal – let Him deal with it – the harder the burn or the shaking will be. He is a jealous God and will not accept things between you and Him. Isaiah 42:3 says

A bruised reed He will not break
And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish;
He will faithfully bring forth justice.

We should welcome his correction for a wise men loves it. We should welcome his hand on our life. Psalm 19:9-10 says

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.

Judgment is not the same as condemnation. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus!

We must let His light so shine before us so that we can see ourselves and run into His arms as He is running to us. He has His robe and ring for us and a fatted calf roasting on the pit but we need to recognize the slop of the enemy and get away from it. If you are in sin, get healed, healing, deliverance, etc. I currently am reaping what I sown and it hurts but it is the mercy of God. I’d rather feel the heat of the burner on my hand and get burned a little then not feel pain and lose my hand in the process. Pain can be a wonderful thing. C. S. Lewis put it best

We can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.

Phantom Flesh Syndrome

Phantom

While looking at the above picture how many of us have felt this way? Not in regards to the hand but our flesh?

Phantom Flesh Syndrome

There are a couple of definitions for flesh and carnal in the Scriptures.

sarx – flesh (the soft substance of the living body, which covers the bones and is permeated with blood) of both man and beasts and the sensuous nature of man, “the animal nature.”

sarkikos having the nature of flesh, i.e. under the control of the animal appetites

I’ll be talking about the fallen, carnal nature aspect of the word. But first I will briefly explain Phantom Limb Syndrome

Phantom limb syndrome is the perception of sensations, including pain, in a limb that has been amputated. People with this condition experience feelings in the limb as if it were still attached to their body. This is because the brain continues to receive messages from nerves that originally carried impulses from the missing limb. (http://www.med.nyu.edu/content?ChunkIID=96857) There are many different articles about it but one I found interesting stated that while talking a person would gesticulated(talk with their hands) with a phantom arm. They still operated, or so they thought, out of something that was cut off and removed. It still felt like they had something even though it was removed. In their mind they thought they still had this limb….and now we come to Phantom Flesh Syndrome.

How many of us operate thinking we still have a “flesh” problem. “I just need to crucify my flesh more” or “this darn flesh I just can’t seem to kill it” are just a couple of things we’ve heard or said about ourselves. The Scripture declare the flesh dead, cut off, and removed from us yet we still think and appear that we are operating out of our flesh. But this is not the case. Romans 6:6 declares:

We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.

“Know” is Greek is ginōskō which means to learn to know, come to know, get knowledge of, perceive, feel. It is also a Jewish idiom for sexual intercourse between a man and a woman. And Galatians 5:24 declares:

And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires.

I love the past tense here. “Have” and “was.” Crucified in this passage is systauroō – to crucify along with!!!! Strong’s Concordance has a gem in the explanation of this word: utterly estranged from former self. If you just skipped that over read it again: utterly estranged from former self. This revelation is astounding me as I type. Utterly means – carried to the utmost point or highest degree and estranged means – to arouse especially mutual enmity or indifference in where there had formerly been love, affection, or friendliness. But how many of us feel or know that deep inside. We look at our action and figure it isn’t dead yet and there is more that we need to do. We look at our actions as proof to our nature instead of the other way around. We don’t know who we already are.

I could go on and on but I want to keep this simple and to the point because sometimes we can get cloudy by many words. So how do we learn, come to grips with, and perceive that we are not in the flesh anymore? Now comes the astonishing fix which isn’t astonishing really but after by Mirror, Mirror post it blew me away. How does one get free from Phantom Limb Syndrome and Phantom Flesh Syndrome? Mirrors! Yep that’s right, mirrors! If you can, read this article: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-mirror-cure/. The epiphany came and I was like wow!

It should be clear that a person doesn’t need a fallen nature to miss the mark. ie. Adam sin while in complete perfection and relationship with Abba. I mean Adam literally walked with God in full Glory and out of Adam’s full spirit man and still missed the mark. We all know the saying, “We aren’t sinners because we sin but we sin because we are sinners” and to use a term very loosely, “our nature is not dependent on our actions but our actions are dependent upon our nature.” Death came to all based on one man’s action regardless if you sin in Adam’s likeness(Rom. 5:14) In both fallen and redeemed natures we can sin and miss the mark and/or act righteously (Rom. 6:20-22).

I’m really trying to keep this post short… I would encourage readers to read: Kainos Ktisis New Creation and What You See You Become. Also read: Don’t Hold Me Back Both are fuller explanations of my quick summary that I will do.

We are designed to become what we focus on and believe about ourselves. Out mirror must be not only the graphe(Scriptures), which is very important, but also the logos(Jesus) and rhema(God’s spoken word). When we see things happening in and around us and when we act out of this phantom flesh we continually need to wash our minds with the Word(rhema) and renewing our mind with the truth of our redeemed nature and the glory He has given and shared with us. We behold as in a mirror the glory of the Lord(2 Cor. 3:18). We reckon that false image of ourselves dead and our new and true image alive to God in Christ. When we see ourselves walking in sin we must look to see where our mirror is. Are we focusing on sin and weakness or our glory and heavenly seat? I also need to note that you can’t wipe a dirty mirror(old self) with a dirty rag(own righteousness). The Lord Jesus gives us a clean mirror that will never get dirty…we just need to keep our eyes on it because as soon as we look away and walk away we can get confused and dismayed (James 1:23). We must listen what the rhema is telling us to do and believe it. We live in a finished work and we need to believe that it is finished. Amen?!

Let’s pray…

Father, forgive me when I look away as Adam did and missed the mark. Thank You for ransoming me from that fallenness of mind and nature and setting me free. Continue to cleanse my vision of myself and You so I can reflect You in all our fullness together. I am one spirit with You so today I choose to believe it and act on it. I keep my eyes on my Mirror and reckon all false reflection void and destroyed. Transfigure me, Father, into the same Image and Glory I see in You. Help me to live in my current glory in order to build the foundation for the next glory.

In Jesus’ precious and fiery name,

Amen and Amen

The Depths of Christ’s Love

HowDeepTheFathersLoveForUs

Ephesians 3:18-19 (AMP)

18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];

19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

To experience the fullness of God one must experience the all-encompassing Love of God. Love is fullness. I love His love. It breaks shame. It breaks hopelessness. I utterly destroys fear. It fills the heights of Glory to the depths of the grave. It shatters hate. It extends to lengths of life and breadth of our experiences. It is true that he who has been forgiven much loves much… I’m going to get a little transparent here.

I’ve experienced a lot of brokenness brought on by my own actions and the actions of others…and I have wounded others. I hate when I wound others. I hate it. I hate when my issues transfer to others. Sometime I wish my weapons were carnal because I feel like I would have a better chance at winning(I’m a big dude).  I try to beat my body into subjection (1 Corinthians 9:27) but fail. Dirty rags becoming even dirtier. Filthy rags. I can’t wipe a dirty mirror with a dirty rag can I? I feel broken waiting for mending…like a piece of cloth in a basket for God to get around to mending me. My soul hurts when exposed and faced with itself. I love in light yet hurt in darkness (Eze. 8:12). Hurt people hurt people.

I recently just completed my Elijah House 202 Prayer Ministry training. I’m very happy to have been able to go through that training…because I need it. I need inner healing and deliverance. Sometimes daily. I hate looking in the mirror and seeing who I am in Christ yet walking away and forgetting who I am. It’s like walking around Two-Faced(Batman reference) and I don’t have control over the coin flip. I just thought of that coin and what it looks like. It’s two-sided and the good side is clean and the other side…marred, wounded, damaged.

I love God with everything I have. Some says you either give God 100% or 0%. I disagree. God honors whatever percentage we give Him. Despite my pain, hurt, sin, and damage I’ve caused others I hope in God. This scripture has one of the most beautiful pictures that touch the depth of me…it’s Zechariah 3:1-7 and it says

1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel. He spoke and said to those who were standing before him, saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him, “See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and will clothe you with festal robes.” Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the Lord was standing by.

And the angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here.

God cloths him with clean clothes. God told those who were there to remove the filth and replace it. I see so much hope and the depth of love in this passage. Often times I see myself as Joshua and asking God to remove the filthy garments. I love what Graham Cooke says, “In the moment of your greatest failure, God kisses you.” To be kissed by God! To be clothed in light and wrapped in a cocoon of love. It’s amazing how tears of despair can alter into tears of love’s depth. Even though a person is being sifted God has interceded for them. God has interceded for me. He corrects me like a son by kissing me like His beloved. Truly the goodness of God leads to repentance. He RUNS to me. Embracing all that I am and all that I am not. John 6:37 says

All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me]. (AMP)

Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit I come to You. I…come…to You and find You already there. I come to my senses while Your gaze saw me senseless. I saw my dirt and you saw Your light. I saw myself and You saw Yourself in me. You ran while I walked. You were slain before I ever fell. I only have the ability to love based on Your love for me. I love You with all that I can give and I plan on giving more and more until I come to the full experience and expression of Your love. Give me clean clothes and a clean mirror so I can see You. I admit full responsibility for my actions. Help me to walk like who I really am. Help me to fully express myself to you so I can be fully known and fully loved.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen

Past anointings and mantles?

982_elijah_chariot_fire_2

So it appears that there was some issue with the idea of having or walking in someone else’s anointing or mantle. This is what tend to believe about that…

I was watching a YouTube and the person shared Hebrews 11:39-40 which says

39 And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect. (NASB)

The above picture show Elijah passing his mantle to Elisha. 1 Kings 19:19 says.

So he departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, while he was plowing with twelve pairs of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. And Elijah passed over to him and threw his mantle on him.

Mantle in hebrew is ‘addereth which means glory or cloak. 2 Kings 2:9-14 says

When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said, “Please, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” 10 He said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” 11 As they were going along and talking, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire which separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind to heaven. 12 Elisha saw it and cried out, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw Elijah no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. 13 He also took up the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and returned and stood by the bank of the Jordan. 14 He took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and struck the waters and said, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the waters, they were divided here and there; and Elisha crossed over.

So Elisha picked up Elijah’s glory. He picked up where Elijah left off. It’s a beautiful picture of the Scripture in Hebrews above. I also love the picture of Elisha taking that mantle and trying it out. He struck the waters and beseeched the Throne of God and asked where God was…and God showed up and the waters parted!

Even in Jesus’ time John the Baptist came with that same mantle. Luke 1:17 says

It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

There is yet and I believe now is, a generation with the anointing, mantle, spirit, and power of Elijah to prepare the way for Christ’s second coming. I know Elijah was a man just like us (James 5:17). Jesus was a Man too. He is also the Son of God as Adam was also (Luke 3:38). The anointing is the same but different. We have an anointing from the Holy One. We receive it from Him because He decides what type of anointing. Remember what Elijah said to Elisha when Elisha asked for the double portion? Elijah said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” The ball was in God’s court in regards to that double portion. Now is there a difference between the mantle or the double portion. The mantle was passed on but the double portion was subject to Elisha prophetic experience.

John the Baptist came is spirit in power of Elijah and Elijah has come to restore all things (Mark 9:12) and, in one of my previous blogs, heaven has received Jesus until the restoration of all things. There is still work to do. I think we get wrapped up in vocabulary(I do) and forget the spirit behind things. We have an anointing whether we call it healing, prophetic, this person or that person, etc. Christ is the Anointed One and He is the one that smears us with it! So when I said I felt like God say I have a Lincoln anointing it means there is a spirit and unction that Lincoln walked in and was not yet perfected and needs someone else to walk in it to fulfill it so he can become perfected for apart from us that wouldn’t come to completion. Don’t get me wrong I’m not running for President LOL. I have this picture of a relay race where there are many racers in one race. As one person runs there heart and finishes their race they pass on the baton to the next person to complete it. I also sense Malachi 4:5-6 is speaking about Hebrews 11:39-40 and it says

“Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.”

Hearts of the fathers to the sons could also speak of past and current/new generations coming to together and, if I may borrow the term Dutch Sheets used, the synergy of the ages. Standing in agreement with previous prayers and adding on so that bowl of incense may be poured upon earth for perfection.

I went on a little bit of a rabbit trail but I think I clarified. I know some will still disagree but it’s all good! I love you guys who read and comment and like my blogs! We are in this together, Amen!? We need unity amongst diversity for there are many gifts but One Spirit!

I’ll end again with Hebrews 11:39-40

39 And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect. (NASB)

A Place to Lay His Head

fullness-of-god

Ephesians 4:12-13 (AMP)

12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),

13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

Matthew 8:20 (NASB)

20 Jesus *said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

Fullness (plērōma) – the state of being filled to capacity or that which is (has been) filled or the body of believers, as that which is filled with the presence, power, agency, riches of God and of Christ

Knowledge (epignōsis) – to become thoroughly acquainted with, to know thoroughly and precise and correct knowledge

Mature (teleios) – wanting nothing necessary to completeness or brought to its end, finished

What I believe is happening and needs to happen is that the Church (https://1john417.wordpress.com/2014/11/28/what-does-the-term-church-mean/) needs to create a place for Christ’s Head to rest. Far too long…centuries upon centuries the Church has been disjointed and far removed from His Head. We hear message upon message of the same things. Milk (1 Cor.3:2). We need meat. We need to consume His Flesh and drink His Blood. We must focus and behold Him in order to go from glory to glory (https://1john417.wordpress.com/2014/10/13/mirror-mirror/). If we keep focusing on our current glory we will never grow and never transfigure into something greater and fuller is measure. There is hidden wisdom reserved for us to walk in…there are book waiting to be opened for us to read (1 Cor. 2:7, Dan. 12:4) We must focus where we are seated in order to influence where we stand. To say it literally, the world depends on it and us to walk as He is in this world (Rom. 8:19, 1 Jon. 4:17)

Hebrews 6:1-3 (AMP)

Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God,

With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.]

If indeed God permits, we will [now] proceed [to advanced teaching].

Jesus is our Savior, not death. If we are waiting for death to be free from sin and imperfection than death is your savior and not Christ. We must stop living body, to soul, to spirit and start living, as we were originally created, spirit, to soul, to body. I am of the believe that our spirits are not subject to the limitations and parameters of our body (see Acts 5:15, Acts 19:12, Col. 2:5). Our soul, on the other hand, must be more and more subject to Him and sanctified and prosperous (3 John 1:2). We truly are seated in Heavenly dimensions or places.

Christ needs shoulders and a body not defined by denominations or labels but by His placement. Knit together in unity of the Spirit. His rule comes through man’s agreement with His purposes. A true co-labor and co-work and co-creating with Him (https://1john417.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/what-on-earth-do-we-do-2/).  Seek His face and thus become His face on earth. Creation groans together by our unveiling which brings His headship back to original intent. (https://1john417.wordpress.com/2014/10/13/mirror-mirror/)

We need to hold fast to the Head as Colossians 2:18-22 says

18 Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit,

19 And not holding fast to the Head, from Whom the entire body, supplied and knit together by means of its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

20 If then you have died with Christ to material ways of looking at things and have escaped from the world’s crude and elemental notions and teachings of externalism, why do you live as if you still belong to the world? [Why do you submit to rules and regulations?—such as]

21 Do not handle [this], Do not taste [that], Do not even touch [them],

22 Referring to things all of which perish with being used. To do this is to follow human precepts and doctrines.

Father, we need You! Father us in this new thing and time and season. Father us to completion. Reveal Yourself to us so we may be revealed to ourselves. Creation is waiting Father. May we succumb to your relentless love and transfiguration process in which metamorphosis (metamorphoō) happens and we change into fullness and a mature man able to support and bring down your authority in order to make your enemy your footstool and things are restored for Your coming.

In Jesus’ name, Amen!

What does the term “Church” mean?

Old keys on a old book, antique wood background

According to Strong’s ekklésia (church) means an assembly, congregation, church; the Church, the whole body of Christian believers. Now from what I recently learned this is the most basic definition. In other words the church or ekklésia means a group of people together. But what else does it mean? I will attempt to explain what I recently heard from two different minsters on two different occasion unrelated to each other.

According to ancient Greece the ekklésia was the senate of the government. It legislated what was allowed or forbidden or may I say bound or loosed (Matt. 16:19).

The ekklesia‘s powers were almost unlimited. It elected and dismissed magistrates and directed the policy of the city. It declared war, and it made peace. It negotiated and approved treaties and arranged alliances. It chose generals, assigned troops to different campaigns, raised the necessary money, and dispatched those troops from city to city. It was an assembly in which all members had equal right and duty. As the Roman Empire rose and supplanted the Greeks, the Romans adopted the term into Latin.

The concept that distinguishes biblical usage from classical Greek usage is the emphasis that it is God’s assembly. Ekklesia, therefore, means God’s people, called together by God to listen to or act for God. The emphasis is on the action of God, which has the force of a summons (as from a judge). The biblical ekklesia, the church, is a body of people, not so much assembling because they chose to come together, but assembling because God called them to Himself—not assembling to share their own thoughts and opinions, but to listen to the voice of God.  –  John W. Ritenbaugh

This should totally change your view of what Church means. Ritenbaugh also says about where the term “church” comes from:

Perhaps the best place to begin answering these questions is by tracing the etymology of the word “church” itself, and then looking at the way it is used in context. Many have assumed that it derives from the Greek ekklesia, but this is not true. The English word “church” descends from an Old English word cirice, akin to an Old High German word, kirihha. Both words derive from a Late Greek word, kuriakon, which comes from the Greek kuriakos, the possessive form of the word kurios, the term for “lord.” Kuriakos thus simply means “lord’s,” showing possession, or “belonging to the lord” (Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, 1985, p. 240). It can denote anything that belongs to the Lord.  –  John W. Ritenbaugh

When I think of ekklesia I also am directed to 2 Cor. 5:20 when it speaks of being ambassadors of Christ. We bring the current rule and reign of Jesus to this earth as His representatives. We legislate Heaven’s directives upon earth. Far too long the enemy has ruled and run this world but with Christ’s FINISHED work we bring what He brought. Didn’t He pray, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven? Let us create the footstool for our Lord and bring the restoration of all things so we can hasten His coming (Heb. 10:13, Acts 3:21, 2 Pet. 3:12)

We need His directives and wisdom to establish His kingdom. He is coming back for a BEAUTIFUL Bride and not a disjointed church. He is still looking for a place to lay His head…

I do not believe in the escapism that is preached by pre-trib eschatologists. I do believe there is a light that is and will shine brighter and brighter upon His Bride as she continues to make Herself ready. Isaiah 60:1 needs to happen and I believe it will be a literal shining according to Matt. 17:2 and 2 Cor. 3:18. If Moses received a lesser covenant with a glory so strong he had to cover his face then how much more will the greater shine forth on and through us! I’ll end with this scripture:

Romans 8:30Amplified Bible (AMP)

30 And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].

We are the Throne of God on earth!

Graham Cooke Notes

Graham Cooke’s Maintaining Your Inner Compass Part 1 notes from:

Unfortunately the whole sermon is not on YouTube. These notes are directly from Graham Cooke’s Part 1 teaching. I took these notes for a meeting I was a part of. It was very enriching to intentionally listen and take notes. I could have written out 6 or more pages but this totaled 2 1/2 pages. Be blessed! As He Is So Are We!

Graham starts with Psalm 121: I WILL LIFT up my eyes to the mountain from whence shall my help come. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper the lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will smite you by day not the moon by night. The Lord will protect you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going and coming in. From this time forth and forever.

David had a brilliant devotional life because he connected with God no matter where he was not matter what he was going through. He knew how to connect with God devotionally.  :23-24 the steps of mans are established by the Lord. And He delights in his way. When he falls he will not be held headlong because the Lord is the one who holds his hand.

The great thing about journeying with the lord is that He knows how to keep us. Day after day in every kind of situation. He can turn every circumstance and situation around for our good and prosper us. In all the ups and downs in life God is the one remaining constant. Holy Spirit is teaching us to be constant and faithful because according to 1 John 4:17, as He is, so are we in this world. Because God keeps us we can learn to be as constant and consistent as God is.

What God wants from you He first gives to you. Because God delights in us we can delight in Him. Whatever we are facing it’s important to face with a real enjoyment of who God is for us. Our journey may take us to the vineyards of fruitfulness or the desert where there is no growth. But God will be the same to you in both places. Sometime God is a blazing sun but other times a candle in your hand. You get to walk with God and know him in both extremes. In warfare you get to know the God who laughs at His enemies. God can surround who you are and who you are not. We discover who God wants to be for us in every circumstance. Sometime we need stand long enough in His presence to see the Glory that is there because we are being changed from one degree of glory into another.

Graham Cooke talked about wanting a relationship with God more than just ministry. Devotions should be designed for relationship and not ministry. In personal devotions and relational times we stand before God as a much-loved son. Sometimes we come to God and say Father and other times Daddy and other times Help!

We accept the fact that we will have human and demonic opposition and stress involved with walking with God. But we can find out who God is for me when these things happen. Who is God to me right now? That is the joy set before us. We need not be worried about anything. We are not frustrated because that is a construct that is not birthed in the kingdom. Truth is we get to walk in grace and mercy and peace and love and goodness and rest and gentleness and delight and abundance and power and majesty. We get to walk in those things.

We are being changed from one degree of glory to another. We need to consider the possibility of something glorious happening at least this week if not today. We need to take all our responses from heaven and not from earth. The bible says we can be blessed under persecution. You have to rejoice and be exceedingly glad. The basis of this is moving in the opposite spirit as a preservation thing and as warfare. We get to spank the enemy. Out journey is into an experience in the Spirit so profound that we become as Jesus is because as He is so are we in this life and world. We live from the inside to the outside. All of life in the Spirit is internal. We learn to step back into our spirit and live out of that place. We learn to live in the spirit as opposed to the soul.

We are learning to maintain our inner compass. Our direction comes from inside, our inner man. Guidance is relation and not functional. Guidance is a byproduct of relationship. Too many decisions are made by external evidence rather than internal proof. In order to grow into this we have to develop and maintain our inner compass so when we stop spinning we know where God is because He is our True North. There are three questions we should ask ourselves in all new situation or circumstance. Who am I? What am I? and Where am I?

When life explodes and interferes we must ask Who am I in this? I believe all our journeys begin in the heartbeat of God and that’s where you rest right now. I can have an understanding and experience with the nature of God. I can know what he is really, really, really like. I don’t want to be intimidated by the enemy but be fascinated by Jesus. We try to get faith outside of the heartbeat of God. God lives in you and he has no problems believing. Faith comes from your focus. When focusing on God faith is there. God is faithful that means we can be full of faith.

All revelation of God must be specific to His nature and explicit to your identity. When He shows you something about himself his reason for this is because he wants you to become that next. Your identity gets an upgrade. God is not messing around and nothing casual. Everything about Him is utmost intention so we need to pay attention.

We get to wage war with peace and inflict our rest upon the enemy. Rest is a weapon. We are partners in His nature. David was a man after God’s own heart because he was always discovering his own identity in the face of God who was totally for him all the time. We are learning in the context of that on how to practice opening our heart to revelation and saying yes to God’s love.

Who is God for you right now? What specific part of His nature are you meant to fully experience at this time? When you know you learn to direct yourself toward God in that. We don’t define by our circumstance but by the nature of God being released and revealed to us. God loves us to ask questions but don’t allow your lack of answer to disrupt your internal communion with Him. Sometimes he doesn’t give us answer right away. He wants to teach you to live in the question with Him. What’s more important God or the answer? We don’t need an answer what we need you God. God likes the dialogue. Sometimes there are better questions for us to ask Him. Living in the question makes our life happy in the process. There are times where God allows our life to come into a place of uncertainty. Why? God wants to be your certainty. God is jealous and he is not apologizing. He wants to be your all in all. He wants to have that number one place in your life.

Don’t stop believing until you get an experience. When you get it you longer have to believe. Faith is a temporary thing, not permanent. Faith becomes knowledge. Faith is present to give you an experience. You no longer have faith that Jesus is Lord, you know Jesus is Lord.

Knowing opens you up to the reality of the truth. That you may know what is the hope of His calling. That we may know the things freely given to us by God. You begin to declare things from Heaven instead of praying for them. It’s your inheritance. Faith is the introduction to Hope. It leads you to confident assurance.

What do you need to be confidant in regarding who God is for you right now? The particular circumstances in your life should be leading you to an experience into a particular aspect of God’s nature? What was your last real experience of God? Did you become established in that as a behavior, did you learn how to abide in that? What is your current uncertainty? What do you have permission to ask God for?

In your current situation ask the Holy Spirit this: What is it that God wants to be for me now and who am I in a response to that?

Excuse Me, But Do I Know You?

2Co5.16-21
2 Corinthians 5:16
Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.

Interesting scripture I must say. From now on we recognize no one according to the flesh. I’m sure we all of read that and maybe thought about it but quickly finished our bible reading for the day. Forgive my sarcasm :). I’ve read it plenty times but I love when God highlights the scripture. Holy Spirit Sharpie Highlighter! Anywhoo… So what does Paul mean by this? I immediately think of 1 Cor. 6:11 which states: “Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. Paul was recognizing them for who they are and not what they were doing. How many of us are trying to crucify the flesh or die to self? And no matter how much we do, we aren’t reflecting that truth. Ever hear of Phantom Pain or Phantom Limb Syndrome? Get this: people are operating out of something that isn’t there. Something that has been cut off. Something that is no longer a part of them. I researched(if you could call it that) phantom pain/limb syndrome and there are reports of people still feeling the limb and even gesticulating with the phantom limb while talking. I mean in no way to offend amputees btw so please don’t think I’m making light of actual people experiencing this. I say this because the thought occurred to me that if humans can walk and operate like they still have a limb that isn’t there that Christians still operate in something that isn’t there. This is what I like to call Phantom Flesh Syndrome. Now I’m getting off track…which happens when I blog. More on Phantom Flesh Syndrome on a later post.

Back to what I was saying before. The Kingdom is an inner man, spiritually discerned, God breathed life and outlook. We cannot recognize others based on what is dead. We need to call to life or call to a realization of what is already alive. Kingdom looks beyond the veil of flesh into the inner man created in God’s image(read previous Mirror Mirror post). I do not mean we do not acknowledge falling short of our brothers and sisters but we do not recognize as that action because it is no longer the core of who they are. There may be some root issues to deal with but at the core it is not who they are. Paul was pointing out these issues but countered it by saying, “such were(past/dead) some of you but you were washed/sanctified/justified.” You are no longer what you were.

I like how Paul thinks. Grace upon grace. He didn’t recognize them according to the flesh but spoke on their identity. That is why New Testament prophecy is about one who prophesies for edification and exhortation and consolation. That is directed at the same church! How many of us prophesy our words of knowledge? Did you know there is a difference? That is also for another post. Where is the light in an individual? The Divine spark present? Are you mirroring back the negative dead stuff or the alive Kingdom stuff? Are you calling people higher or just exposing what the blood has covered/washed away? No matter the person Christian or Pre-Christian they are created in God’s Image. Are we muddying up the mirror or washing it for people to properly see the image of Him who create them? How do you recognize people? By their sin or by their Redeemer? These are all question we need to ask ourselves when relating to people. Most importantly how did Jesus see those the religious deemed Image-less?

Dream Long

dare-to-dreamI was in a meeting a couple weeks ago and the speaker was a Pastor’s son from India. As usual, he spoke on what the ministry in India is doing and wants to do etc. The usual missionary type sharing from a pulpit. But something really jumped out at me. His father, during a sermon, was speaking on dreaming. He said, “Many can dream big, but few dream long.” Few dream long.

I need to dream long.

Based on previous blogs I spoke on Presence and Promise and how Presence is key to open Promise. Dreaming long is the same thing. I know for me to dream big is emotional suicide but to dream long is sustained expectancy. I can dream the biggest dreams and despite my doubt or unbelief I continue to dream big…but now I know I need to dream long.

Who knows when a big dream will manifest? Where it will? How it will?

Living in the journey with God is so important. Dreaming big but dreaming long. I’m learning to trust Him for the outcome. I’m learning that living in expectancy is better then living with expectations. Expectancy is choosing to live in the moment with faith in a secure future. Expectancy is dreaming long while enjoying the journey.

How many of us stop to smell the roses, if I may use that term we’ve all heard? Dreaming long and living in expectancy forces us to walk with God and not run ahead of Him. Great quote about dreaming from one of the Wright brothers.

I got more thrill out of flying before I had ever been in the air at all – while lying in bed thinking how exciting it would be to fly. – Orville Wright

They dreamed big and learned to dream long. Dreams are but the desires of your heart. “Everything that you will ask in prayer and believe, you will receive.” – Matthew 21:22

I confess that in 1901, I said to my brother Orville that man would not fly for fifty years. . . . Ever since, I have distrusted myself and avoided all predictions. –  Wilbur Wright
It is not really necessary to look too far into the future; we see enough already to be certain it will be magnificent. Only let us hurry and open the roads.Wilbur Wright

Dream big, saints and dream long! Live in the expectancy of today! Believe you will receive! May God grant to us the desires of our hearts!

The Secret Place

secret-placePsalm 139:15Amplified Bible (AMP)

15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery].

Psalm 91:1New King James Version (NKJV)

91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

The secret place. Hebrew word: cether meaning: covering, shelter, hiding place, secrecy. The Hebrew word is the same in both scriptures. He formed us and protects us in the secret place. The place of protection is the place we were made.

Another interesting scripture is Colossians 3:10 and it talks about our inner man or spirit being renewed in the image of He Who created it. This is out there but when 2 Corinthians 5:17 talks about a new creation. Not necessarily a recuperated inner man. Why does Ezekiel 36:26 speak of a new heart and a new spirit. Revelation 21:5 says He makes all things new. New in Greek is kainos meaning: recently made, fresh, recent, unused, unworn, of a new kind, unprecedented, novel, uncommon, unheard of. The same word for new creations. The first Adam was a living soul and the Last Adam a life giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45). Two different Adam and two different creations. We are of the latter.

Colossians 3:3New American Standard Bible (NASB)

For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Our zoe life is hidden with Christ in God. The secret place. Our inner man escaping notice being formed in the belly of the Father. You see Presence fashions us for Promise. When we live where we are seated we live from a place of Presence, rest, and hiddenness. We walk in authority and dominion from a Presence standpoint hidden in the Secret Place where we are continually formed by Him Who made us. And when we live out of the Presence we are like clumps of clay seeking identity outside of the Potter’s Hands. Anyone who has worked with clay and a potter’s wheel you know that, at first it’s formless and needs air bubbles etc. removed. Then by applying water it softens to be able to be molded into the vessel it was designed for in the Potter’s mind and heart. The water of the Rhema Word comes to bring the forming…and how gentle He does it. In the forming process it takes delicate hands and patience. How we feel like we are spinning in the process. We seem confused when our world system constructs get removed and we enter the Spirit and His forming process.

We need to behold Him! To observe Him! How did Jesus walk? With Him. He did only what he saw or observed what the Father was doing…including dying on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:19). 1 John 3:2 Aramaic Bible in Plain English:  Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it has not been revealed until now what we are going to be, but we know that when he has been revealed, we shall be in his likeness, and we shall see him just as what he is. I believe the Bride will be transfigured by observance of Who He is in them. Observance not of principles or laws are scriptures reading but literal observance…the same way the Apostle Paul received his revelation. No I don’t believe in “new” revelation as in new scripture but there are new things God is revealing which are in line with what scripture declares.

The Apostle John receive The Revelation of Jesus Christ because he was positioned on His chest. He laid there and made that place his home. Revelation came from that Secret Place. That is my desire. To be so close to His Heart that mine becomes His and His becomes mine and I adhere and stay glued to Him by the Spirit. There are secrets He wants to share but they are found in the Secret Place. Secrets are always from the heart.

Even so, come Lord Jesus and be revealed in us.

Amen!

When Needs Overcome Wants

restoremysoulI don’t know about you but I tend to get frustrated with life at times. How many of us can relate to our needs overcoming our wants? Needs come and come and must be met and met. Wants seldom show up and when they do we rarely get to fulfill them. Now I know what scripture says about needs and wants. Psalm 23 etc. But how many of our wants or desires come to pass…or come to…pass and not stay. I was thinking about how many things I want to do in life and how I don’t see much possibility of them happening. I know with God all thing are possible but how? I want the Promise so bad. So bad I can taste it…the taste of milk and honey.

I have so many wants: traveling, speaking, counseling, inner healing and deliverance sessions along with Sozo sessions. I desire to set people set free and walking in who they are. Not head knowledge but heart knowing.

Then I listened to a Graham Cooke teaching…

He spoke on living with God in the question. Walking with God in the midst of waiting. I think of the difference between Promise and Presence. God promised Israel a land flowing with milk and honey but His Presence was there in the journey. An arduous journey to boot. Moses had the proper perspective. Even with the Promise near he wouldn’t go with Presence.

My needs need to transfigure into glorious stepping stones. My wants need to be there without the gravitational pull of disappointment. For I do have an appointment but until Presence cuts the veil I remain living with God in the present with His Presence with an expectancy of future Promise.

I think that is where I am getting it wrong. Why I’m frustrated. Why I feel like Promise is the carrot on the end of the stick. Interesting scripture in Psalm 103:7 is says God made know His acts to Israel but His ways to Moses. Moses had a backstage pass to what was going on. Sure Moses clearly didn’t get it all right but God trusted Him. I want and need my own Tent of Meetings. A place where perspective is birthed and clarified. A place where I can see God mouth to mouth. A place where Presence sustains while the Promise waits for my arrival. God has given me a name. That name is Possessor. I plan to possess first Presence and then Promise.

Mirror Mirror

CSLEWISMirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of them all?

How many of us do this every day? We continually seek our identity and validation on other people and things. We look at the Photoshopped world of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest and judge our lives and worth based on other people. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen someone’s post or picture get several comments or likes, while I post the same exact thing and get nothing. How many times have I judged my worth on someone’s recognition or lack of recognition. I started my blog several months ago and someone else I know just started theirs…and theirs has blown up(in a good way). They get all these likes and comments and promotion but I hear or see crickets on mine. I had to check my heart…and my reflection. What part of me am I seeing when I react out of my soul instead of responding out of my spirit. I see myself blocking the post so I don’t have to see it or unfollowing them so my hurt and unresolved rejection isn’t confronted. To be honest I did unfollow. I was envious and jealous. The room of rejection yelled, “SEE NO ONE LIKES YOU!” And I accepted it… Until I dropped back into my spirit and responded with thankfulness that someone is being recognized for their gifts and attributes. There two cents are being heeded and honored and I love it!

I’m going to share something that Jesus showed me a couple weeks ago in a vision(mind’s eye). I was at a Waterboyz for Jesus Boot Camp (based of John Eldredge’s Wild at Heart Boot Camp) and there was a mandatory code of silence to reflect on life and to ask Father God to father me. So I had this picture, vision whatever you want to call it, I was standing in the entrance to my High School’s Cafeteria on my lunch period and surveying the cafe…but first the backdrop. I was never a popular person in High School. I didn’t have a good solid friend or group of friends but I had several acquaintances. I feared every new lunch period because I was never invited to sit with anyone. Never. It was a room screaming rejection and “you don’t fit in.” Frozen with rejection and aimless. So I either sat at the “nerd” table, where one of my acquaintances sat, or some other obscure area. It was awkward. So back to the vision. I saw myself at the entrance to this same cafeteria with rejection screaming “you’re not invited.” Then I saw Jesus…waving me over to his table. He said, “You will always have a seat at my table.” It broke me in the best possible healing way. I have turned to a greater mirror! A mirror that displays goodness and acceptance and redemption and kindness. I love Jesus and how He speaks to our wounded and applies his healing balm. It soothes and replenishes. He is my mirror! He is my reflection! A river that never runs dry and a fragrance that never dissipates. In fact I’m his odor to a rejected and lost world. 2 Corinthians 2:15 says, For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

I’m going to share several scriptures that speak to mirrors or mirroring and the effect. I’m not going to quote them all but for your reference.

  • 2 Corinthians 3:13-15,18
  • James 1:23-24
  • 1 Corinthians 13:12
  • 1 John 3:2
  • 1 John 2:6
  • Roman 8:18
  • 1 John 4:17
  • 1 Corinthians 6:17
  • John 17:22
  • Acts 3:21
  • 2 Peter 3:12
  • Philippians 2:5-8
  • Ephesians 1:22-23

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18

Unveiled faces. We are not like Moses who HAD to cover his face with a veil. Noticed when I talked in the Ten of Meeting he took the veil off. Now with Christ and Him renting the veil in two from top to bottom He, not only gave man access to God, but He gave God access to man! We are image bearers. We carry the image of God on this earth. We are the image of God.

Beholding as in a mirror. What do mirrors do but reflect what is put before them. They don’t make up their own image. We don’t make up our own image. Where do we receive our reflection from? Who do we receive our reflection from? 1 John 4:17 says as He is(currently. not past but now) so are we in this world. The glory given to Jesus by God is transferred to us.

We are being transformed into the same image… What? The same image? “Same” in Greek is autos meaning: the same, himself, in itself it signifies nothing more than again, applied to what has either been previously mentioned or, when the whole discourse is looked at, must necessarily be supplied. “Image” in Greek is eikōn which means: the image of one. Also this verse says we are transformed into the same image. Transformed in Greek is, get this: metamorphoō to change into another form, to transform, to transfigure. To transfigure! The same exact word used to describe Jesus when he metamorphoō on the mount with Elijah and Moses.

1 John 3:2 says, “Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it has not been revealed until now what we are going to be, but we know that when he has been revealed, we shall be in his likeness, and we shall see him just as what he is.” Seeing God, like Moses, has a uncovering of glory that is already within us, locked up in our blood since before Adam fell. Originally we were covered with glory and the radiance of God. Man sinned and that glory was shut up in the body and dwindled to embers…until Jesus breathed upon the disciples thus provided the Oxygen of God upon the ember to ignite and begin the transfiguration process. The more He is revealed the more we will be revealed. Creation is groaning for us Church! We will be like Him because we will see Him. FYI this is pre Second Coming in my opinion according to Acts 3:21. The Beauty of the Bride is in the union with her Husband and Head! We can, by our communion with the Father and submitting to the glorification of us by our seeing Him. We are one spirit with Him – 1 Corinthians 6:17. Co-Heirs. Brothers of Christ. Kings and lords under the King of kings and Lord of lords! Seated together with Christ!

For too long the image I saw was the image I walked out. When I interpret the image incorrectly it will only result of living incorrectly. By the water of word and the Holy Spirit, He can clean our mirror so we can see, unveiled, the Glory of the Lord so we can begin to walk in original design and our original selves.

Prayer:

Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask You to clean our mirrors and remove our veils so we may fully see you and then fully see ourselves. We repent for dismissing our glory, the glory you gave us. We cast our crowns only to have them returned to us purified to then cast them again on your feet. Let us remain in worship at your feet while also communing at your chest in which the revelation of Jesus Christ comes through us so we may truly walk, as Your body, the fullness of You who fills all things in every way. Let us walk as the fullness of You on earth and re-present you to this world. All with the spirit of agape love and true humility, a partner, associate, comrade, and companion of the Divine Nature. Let our mind be the same that was in You, Jesus, according to Philippians 2:5-8. And Lord we know you are the Author and Finisher of our faith and You are the Substance and Hope by which we seek you with all that we are. Thank you for reversing the body, soul, and spirit to spirit, soul, and body. In Jesus name we give you the glory and receive the glory you have given us. We worship and honor You, Almighty God, our Friend. Amen!

Father, father me

dads-and-dad-blog-e1339689442571The deepest search in life, it seemed to me, the thing that in one way or another was central to all living was man’s search to find a father, not merely the lost father of his youth, but the image of a strength and wisdom external to his need and superior to his hunger, to which the belief and power of his own life could be united. – Thomas Wolfe

Come Up Here – God

COme Up here

Correct me if I’m wrong but I haven’t found a passage in the New Testament where the apostles prayed/preached/taught about asking for God/Jesus/Holy Spirit to come down…but I do see where God/Jesus/Spirit telling John “Come up here” and another where a person was caught up in heaven. We bring heaven down to earth because heaven is where we are seated. We are temple/throne of God on earth. If we realize where we already are it would change our whole perspective on…everything

Josephs Fathers to Pharaohs

Joseph

Josephs Fathers to Pharaohs

I feel like it is a prophetic word for this day. I can’t say for sure but I was impressed to release it by alone by myself but also to post it on my blog, and now here being as this is my only “platform.” The word is from Genesis 45:8 and Exodus 7:1.

“God is making Josephs, fathers to Pharaohs and making Moseses like God to Pharaohs.”

Genesis 45:8 (NASB)

8 Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Exodus 7:1 (NASB)

Then the LORD said to Moses, “See, I make you as God to Pharaoh…”

What you see you become

be_like_him__351 John 3:2J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)

Oh, dear children of mine (forgive the affection of an old man!), have you realized it? Here and now we are God’s children. We don’t know what we shall become in the future. We only know that, if reality were to break through, we should reflect his likeness, for we should see him as he really is!

I’ve been thinking about this the past several weeks…it’s very interesting. It makes me think of:

1 John 4:17Amplified Bible (AMP)

17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

and:

1 Corinthians 13:12New American Standard Bible (NASB)

12 For now we see in a mirror [a]dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

I think one of the issue we don’t know who we are is because we don’t know who He is. Once our view of Him is clarified (many ways to do that) then our own selves gets transformed and conformed to the image of God and His Son, Jesus.

Matthew 6:22J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)

22-23 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If all the light you have is darkness, it is dark indeed!”

What are we seeing and how are we seeing?

2 Corinthians 5:16Amplified Bible (AMP)

16 Consequently, from now on we estimate and regard no one from a [purely] human point of view [in terms of natural standards of value]. [No] even though we once did estimate Christ from a human viewpoint and as a man, yet now [we have such knowledge of Him that] we know Him no longer [in terms of the flesh].

Our growth can be subject to how much of Jesus we see. Jesus said if you seen Him you’ve seen the Father. The foundation for seeing Him is laid out in scripture but was never a substitute for continuing to see if not according to the flesh. The veil was torn not just for man being able to enter into God’s presence but also for God Presence being able to enter man. The veil was torn to give God access to Humanity and Humanity is forever linked to God in Jesus Christ. We are now partakers of the Divine Nature. If we don’t believe and act upon that then we won’t grow. I’ll refer to my previous blog: https://1john417.wordpress.com/2014/03/10/dont-hold-me-back/

We need to see Him as He is, currently, because we are like that in this world currently.

Does God “Use” People?

God Use Me

We’ve all heard the Christianese term, “God used me” or “God wants to use you.” I don’t know about you but I don’t and have never liked being used. Why do we use these phrases? Does a son look to his father and hope to be used? Does a father look to his child and say, “I can really use you.”

We are not tools. We are not objects. We are much loved children of God. We are Jesus’ friends and brothers.

Now I know what 2 Timothy 2:20-22 says. Vessels of honor fit for God’s use. I understand what is it saying. We need to be vessels of honor so we can do what God wants us to do. What I am trying to get at is the way the word is used.

Like I said before no one, that I know of, has ever felt good about himself or life after they have been used by someone. You know the reactions we have: “I just feel used” or “he/she used me” Its always apart from relationship. Its about laboring for someone’s gain without receiving anything in return.

God doesn’t do this, in my opinion, Religion does. Whenever God wants something to be done on earth He finds someone who will come into agreement with Him in order for His will be to accomplished…and the one co-laboring with Him gets blesses as well. It’s not about God “using” you but its about what you and God want to do together, as a team, as co-laborers. You are not a means to His end. You are the end! Everything about this world is about us. The Bible is about us and how much He loves us and how much we love Him!

I know some may not agree but that is okay. I choose to believe that I am God’s friend and we are in this together. I mean, I am seated with Him in heavenly place. Jesus sits on the Father’s throne and I sit on Christ’s throne. That, to me, doesn’t indicate being used but being in relationship with God. I mean God even says I don’t do anything unless I tell my servants, the prophets. Amos 3:7: Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. And in the New Testament He says this in John 15:15: “No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.”

Just being honest but…the church uses people. I’ve felt used in the church. I ushered and served etc. but I never felt apart of anything really. I mean I had a group of friends but as far as the bigger church was concerned I wasn’t one to fit in. Now Jesus on the other…He makes you fit right in. He declares us all living stones fitting together into a holy dwelling place.

You fit! You fit in! You are a part of something glorious and wonderful! You are truly unique and one of a kind and God doesn’t want to use you and then put on a shelf or leave you on the ground to rust like some tool. He highlights you! He points you out to His angels and say, “Boy do I love that person!” “Together we are going to change the world!” “There’s no stopping him in Me and Me in him!”

God doesn’t use…He cherishes!

What On Earth Do We “Do?”

EARTH_WEBSITE-624x351What On Earth Do We “Do?”

My last post I talked about our new identity in Christ as a New Creation, which, by the way, was definitely not all of what I could say about it. It would take many, many blogs to fully describe and understand our New Creation selves.

I will now talk a little bit about what we now “do” with this new creation truth about ourselves. I say “do” because it’s not about something we do or a performance we now must act out. In reality is a “being” that we now walk out in our day to day lives. Human beings, not human doings!

One of several scriptures that come to mind is 2 Corinthians 5:20, “so we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We, as Christ’s personal representatives, beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.” (emphasis mine)

Represent Christ

We are ambassadors and are meant to re-present Christ to the world. “Greater works than these you will do,” says Jesus in John 14:12. As He is (currently) so are we in this world!  (1 John 4:17)

As New Creations we are now totally and utterly one with Christ, just as Christ is One with our Father. (John 17:21) If this doesn’t blow you away then Romans 8:17 must!

…and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. (NASB) (emphasis mine)

Heirs of God and co or fellow heirs with Christ! This is God’s love and heart for His children and the people of the world. The word heir in Greek is klēronomos, which means one who receives his allotted possession by right of sonship. The word fellow heir is sygklēronomos, which means one who obtains something assigned to himself with others, a joint participant. And these line up with 1 Corinthians 3:9, which says, we are co-laborers, co-workers, fellow workers with God. The word for co-workers in Greek is, synergos, which is where we get our English word synergy from. And what is synergy? Synergy is the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions, etc. This speaks directly to John 16:7 where Jesus said, “It is better that I go away so that Another may come and be inside you and we operate in synergy as co-laborers.” (my own paraphrase) I am obviously combining scriptures here but it’s exactly what happens. Now, one can do many things without God, for God and God can do many thing without man but ultimately God want to empower believers to create a synergy between the two to accomplish much more. What else do we “do” on earth?

We are meant to bring the multi-faceted, multi-dimensional, and multi-colorful wisdom of God and display it to the principalities, powers, and wicked rulers in the second heaven.

Ephesians 3:10

10 [The purpose is] that through the church the [a]complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere. (AMP)

Let our lights so shine before men that they may see the sons of God’s good works and glorify our Father in Heaven. (Paraphrased Matt. 5:16)

Live loved

Ultimately what we “do” on earth is live as much-loved sons of God. Live as we are accepted in the Beloved. The word accepted, in the Greek, means to pursue with grace and compass with favor! We are to “be” much loved sons of God who are pursued by grace and encompassed with favor!

Possible Misconceptions, Half-Truths, and Saying Regarding the Bible

Holy-bible-ending-image

As my first official blog, I am going to talk about a few possible misconceptions and possible half-truths that many preach, teach, and talk about. Some are just simple traditions passed down that many don’t bother to look up to see if it’s true or accurate according to what scripture actually says. Some of these are just simple observances and others create absolutely wrong mindsets. How about we venture onto these now…

1.Common response to a leader who sins: “So and so has fallen from grace.”

Let us look at what scripture says falling from grace actually is.

Galatians 5:4

Amplified Bible (AMP)

If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God’s gracious favor and unmerited blessing). (emphasis mine)

Here we see here that falling from grace is trying to be justified by law. Here is another good paraphrased version:

Galatians 5:4

The Message (MSG)

4I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. (italics mine)

So what was the law made for?

Romans 5:20-21

Amplified Bible (AMP)

20 But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded,

21 So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeserved favor) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) our Lord.

2. God changed the Apostle Paul’s name from Saul to Paul.

Nowhere in scripture does it say God changed Saul’s name to Paul. I haven’t heard from anyone when or where God changed his name. It wasn’t at his conversion because in Acts 9:17 Ananias, when praying for Saul’s sight to be restored he called him, Brother Saul. Other references where he was called Saul include: Acts 9:19, 9:22, 24, 26, Acts 11:25, 13:7 etc. Now Acts 13:9 shows when Saul starting going by the name Paul. Saul was his Hebrew name and Paul his Roman name. So my opinion is when after he started his calling to preach to the Gentile, he chose to be called by his gentile/Roman name.

3. God told Noah to take with him two of every animal onto the ark.

This is a half-truth. According to Genesis 7:2,

“You shall take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female” (emphasis mine)

So in actuality God told Noah to take 7 of every clean animal and two of every unclean animal.

4. The New Testament began in Matt. 1:1, Mark 1:1, Luke 1:1, and John 1:1.

According to Hebrews 9:15-18:

For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17 For acovenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. 18 Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. (NASB emphasis mine)

So here we see the New Testament/Covenant/Will was not made or put into effect until Jesus Christ died and shed His Blood. Likewise if someone makes a will and delegates an inheritance the recipients cannot receive that inheritance until there is a death. That is why Jesus said it was better that He go away. After His death, burial, and resurrection He then breathed upon the disciples and they received the Holy Spirit.

5. God convicts Christians of sin.

I will preface this with a statement. I have recently run across the belief that God doesn’t “convict” Christians. After hearing the argument it kinda makes sense. I am not making a doctrinal stand on this. This is purely exploring the topic and a possible belief. I don’t think it is something that makes a huge difference but it is an interesting take on the word and what scripture says. Some may say a word doesn’t make that much of a difference, in which I agree mostly, but some word’s meanings make a world of a difference. So here is the belief.

The word convict or elegchō in greek means to bring to light with the suggestion of shame of the person convicted. This is used in about three New Testament scriptures: John 16:8, Titus 1:9, and Jude 1:15 and all these are in relation to ungodly, the world, and unbelievers and not Saints or Believers. The word conviction in English is used to describe the judgment that is put upon a convict or someone guilty of a crime. To convict or bring a conviction is made for convicts. Believers are declared righteous! We have an Advocate with the Father! We are righteous and not convicts anymore. There is another word in greek for conviction and that is plērophoria which means, having a strong belief or opinion on somethingand and elegchōs which means a proof, that by which a thing is proved or tested. This is different than elegchō.

What the Holy Spirit does do for Christians is bring counsel, comfort, holiness, guidance, power, grace, and the fruit and gifts of the Spirit.
